Bougan Villa is perfectly located at beautiful Bottom Bay on the unspoilt South East coast of Barbados in the West Indies.
The villa is a pretty detached property with its own pool and gardens, situated in a small and quiet residential area called Atlantic Rising. The house has been recently refurbished and decorated and is finished to a high standard with all the accommodation and facilities needed to ensure that guests have an wonderful holiday on this beautiful island.
The villa has a kitchen, dining room, lounge, two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Externally, there is a covered terrace overlooking the private pool and South West facing gardens, with a large built-in barbecue, and also a roof terrace with views out to sea.
The well equipped kitchen contains all you need to prepare a six course banquet or a simple breakfast… and the airy dining room with bi-fold doors leading onto the terrace is the perfect place to enjoy both. The lounge is spacious, light and airy with French doors onto the shady extended terrace with its comfortable furniture… perfect for lazy days overlooking the private pool, surrounding deck and lawned garden. There is a dining table and chairs on the roof terrace for al fresco dining while gazing through the palms towards the sea.
For guests’ use there is a telephone with free island-wide calls. There is a large television with many satellite channels, including English language channels. Both bedrooms have air conditioning as well as floor fans and the dining room, lounge and covered terrace have ceiling fans.
The Atlantic breeze on this side of the island means that even on the hottest days the temperatures are comfortable. Bottom Bay beach (voted as being in The Times’ and Conde Nast’s top-ten best beaches IN THE WORLD) with its gorgeous white sands and coconut palms, is just a 3 minute amble away. Harrismith, Palmetto and Sam Lord’s Beach/Long Bay (our personal favourite) are also stunning beaches which are within a short stroll.
There is a local grill bar and a local hotel/restaurant within walking distance. There is also a bus stop within a 5 minute walk, although we do recommend hiring a car so that you can see all that Barbados has to offer.
For those of you looking for exciting night life and fine dining, the busier South and West coasts are a short car journey away. For the surfers amongst you, a trip to the legendary Soup Bowl at Bathsheba on the East coast is a must, and is only 20 minutes in the car.
Transfers from Grantley Adams airport take a mere 20 minutes.
